Save The Weavers
To preserve India's weaving heritage by uplifting the families who carry it — through financial support, skill development, and education.
Three core pillars that address the immediate, mid-term, and long-term needs of weaving communities through heritage, education, and modern skills..
We provide direct support for the traditional Maggam (pit loom) artisans. By subsidizing high-quality yarns and dyes, we ensure this ancient art form remains a viable livelihood.
Our "Books to Graduation" initiative sponsors the full educational journey of weavers' children. We believe every child deserves a cap, gown, and a bright future.
We empower women by providing professional Sewing Machines and tailoring training. This creates a resilient second income for families when weaving demand fluctuates.
The traditional wooden handloom at the heart of India's weaving. Weavers spend 10–14 hours a day producing silk sarees and zari work with extraordinary precision and skill.
While the man operates the loom, his wife spends hours preparing threads — dyeing, winding, sorting — invisible labour rarely acknowledged or adequately compensated.
Power loom mills produce the same fabric faster and cheaper. Handloom weavers cannot compete on price — and without market access, their livelihoods shrink each year.
